"Em is an incredibly kind, supportive and understanding tutor who has been an enormous help to our neurodivergent daughter. She has boosted her maths confidence and greatly improved her understanding through fun and engaging sessions tailored to meet her specific needs. We wholeheartedly recommend Em!"
"Em has tutored my daughter since she was eight years old and it became clear that she needed some extra 'scaffolding'. Over the years, Em's knowledge of her subject, patience, and kindness have made complex concepts accessible to my daughter. This has made a remarkable difference in my daughter's confidence and performance in Mathematics. Lessons are always engaging, tailored to her needs, and delivered with genuine enthusiasm. With Em's encouragement my child has progressed academically and this has also improved her self esteem. I would wholeheartedly recommend Em to any parent seeking a positive, supportive, and highly effective maths tutor for their child."
"Em has provided exceptional tutoring to my daughter over the past two years. When my daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia, she faced significant challenges in both maths and english, trailing at least two years behind her peers. Em became a beacon of support and encouragement working tirelessly to build her confidence and close the substantial gap in her learning. Em's dedication has been nothing short of tremendous. She has played a pivotal role in helping my daughter navigate primary school, always motivating her and focusing her efforts. Now in year 7, Em continues to be an invaluable resource, particularly in mastering maths topics and learning new techniques, which otherwise my daughter would be struggling with. My daughter genuinely enjoys her sessions with Em and has shown remarkable growth and confidence across both course subjects. The progress she has made is a true testament to Em's skill, patience and unwavering commitment as a tutor."
"Em is an experienced tutor who has worked with many children with a variety of learning needs. I know Em in the capacity of a colleague at school as well as Em being a tutor for my son, who is dyslexic. He quickly warmed to Em. She is able to make children feel comfortable and confident - highlighting their strengths and providing children with tools to give them independence for use at school. Em carried out a diagnostic assessment, which was fun and interactive, and helped to pinpoint where to begin with support. While my son is confident with his reading, he needs structure to give him support with spelling. My son is now developing confidence as Em teaches him how to recognise when spellings are incorrect. Em teaches my son spelling rules, which helps him to tackle the complexities of the English language. They work through a structured programme called Apples and Pears, designed especially for dyslexic children. Em makes cards for my son also, with reminders of his new learning each week - I'm learning hints and tips about spelling that I never knew too, and the cards help me to support my son at home. I'd highly recommend Em, for giving children with learning needs the extra boost that they need!"
